Mbawie has a career that span information technology management, and health care. Her portfolio includes business development, the archives and its derivative businesses, media management, and intellectual property issues.
More recently, from 2016 to 2022 she served as Database Administrator and then Scrum Master at JoinIT Solutions Inc., where she operationalized the mission of the organization, including the challenge of designing what has become its signature affordable, flexible courses and hybrid programs. Additionally, she has been involved in several charitable organizations, and was a senior advisor.
Prior to JoinIT Solutions, Mbanwie worked as a Triage Nurse at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, where she identified patients needing immediate resuscitation; assigned patients to predesignated patient care area for care prioritization and the initiation of diagnostic/therapeutic measures as appropriate.
Previously, Mbanwie’s career included work with various NGOs in international development, especially in West Africa, providing humanitarian aid like free health care, community development projects, community health education, mental health programs, and class curriculums with real-world experiences through service opportunities that focus on UNSDGs to make a difference in the lives of others.
A graduate from the University of Yaoundé and Palm Beach School of Nursing, Mbanwie joined RHI’s board of directors in 2021, and brings with her over 20 years of in-depth holistic leadership experience.
