TyEisha Lawson is a dedicated School Counselor with Houston Independent School District who has served a wide range of causes including mental health, homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, and Conflict Resolution and youth empowerment.
Humbled by the enormous task before her and mindful of the sacrifices borne by her ancestors, she steps into her new role at Racial Healing International after serving as a research fellow at the highly prestigious McNair Scholar Program of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where she helped undergraduate students gain research experience and prepare for higher education.
The First in her family to graduate from university, she is an awe-inspiring young Black woman from a long generation of African American doers, who though obscure in her labor – contributions and talent is not only forging a path toward progress but helping to shape the world and make it a better place for all.
A social emotional learning facilitator and passionate advocate for racial healing around the world, TyEisha is also a member of the NAACP Houston Chapter, member of the American School Counselor Association, Chi Sigma Iota Vice President, serves on the TAMUCC Alumni Association Board and is President of the Houston Alumni Chapter. TyEisha brings a broad range of experience in strategic thinking and delivery, thought leadership, innovation, collaboration, and capacity building.
She holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in Counseling from Texas Southern University.
